I.
Your stories
Anyone can share a story that deserves to be remembered.
We read every one.
Our mission
History is made by people. Some of them changed their corner of the world quietly, and no one wrote it down. They aren't in books or online, and they never made the news.
Their stories live only in the memories of the people who knew them. When those memories fade, everything those people were fades with them.
That's why The Royal Archive exists: to find the stories of people who made a difference and are at risk of being forgotten.
It's the same way we open every investigation. Behind every surname there's a trail, and at the end of every trail there's a person who really lived.
The Royal Archive
Founded so no story is forgotten
The Story Archive
Alongside our investigations, we're building something bigger: a collection of stories about ordinary people who left a mark on their families and communities, and whom no book ever recorded. We collect them before they're lost.
The Story Archive is a work in progress. The stories we collect are kept in our archive and, when they're relevant, they enrich the investigations we deliver.
How we work
I.
Anyone can share a story that deserves to be remembered.

II.
We compare each story with the available records and, when needed, we get back to you with questions.
Our print shop
Every piece is printed in the USA on archival paper with fade-resistant inks.
Our maps and case files aren't run off at a copy center. They're printed with care, one name at a time, because these pieces aren't made to be looked at once. They're made to be kept.
Every piece is checked, dated, signed and stamped by hand before it ships.
Our method
Every investigation follows the same method: different kinds of expertise, real archival sources.

Where your name comes from and what it means.

Where a name is found points to where it began.

Reading centuries-old documents and telling the real ones from the rest.

Coats of arms and titles, checked in the records. We tell you the answer either way.

The path your name traveled, from its first home to the ships that carried it.

Facts, theories, legends. Never mixed.
Every story we tell keeps three things apart: what the records prove, what the evidence suggests, and what families have passed down. That line is what makes our work reliable. When something can't be proven, we say so.
